Janis Balabon:
An Oil Painter Specializing in Portraits

A nationally recognized portrait artist, Janis Balabon’s fine
art paintings are in collections world-wide. The
Roman Catholic Church commissioned her to paint a
portrait of Saint Faustina and a limited edition print
of the painting has been distributed world-wide.
When asked why she paints, Janis states, “I want to paint a very fine
portrait that a family and generations to come will treasure. A portrait is not
just a physical representation of a person, it is the human spirit that must be
captured on canvas.” Janis’ goal is a work of art that the client will not be
able to live without. Her portraits are a fine art legacy and to insure the
longevity of such treasures, Janis uses only the finest oil pigments and
Belgian linen canvas. A native of Iowa and a resident of Florida, Janis is a
recipient of many Art Awards, including the Grumbacher Art medal. Janis has
been recognized in Who’s Who in the Southwest. She is listed in the
American Society of Portrait Artists and she has been featured in museum
exhibitions. A museum quality work of art is guaranteed.
